1. Pricing & Charges

All listed prices are hourly-based or flat rate for local moves and weight-based or flat price for long-distance moves. Additional charges such as travel time, fuel surcharges, packing materials, heavy equipment, staircase fees, and long carry will apply based on customer requests. Please discuss all pricing details with our sales agent before confirming your booking. You have the right to request price offers, discounts, or waivers by written email.

2. Working Hours & Overtime

If movers work more than 8 hours, overtime rates will apply. If the job exceeds the booked hours, additional hourly rates may vary. Star Canada Movers reserves the right to deny service after the booked hours under unavoidable circumstances due to overlapping schedules with other customers.

3. Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be made at least 15 days before the scheduled move date to receive a full deposit refund. If the move is canceled after the movers have arrived, the customer is responsible for paying for the time and travel expenses incurred.

4. Payment Terms

For local moves, payment must be made before completing the job for the booked hours. Extra hours and additional charges will be collected after completion. For long-distance moves, 50% payment is required at pickup, and the remaining balance must be paid before delivery of goods. Scheduled times and dates may change due to unavoidable circumstances, and the customer will be notified in advance.

5. Liability & Insurance

Star Canada Movers offers only a basic liability plan. Under this plan, the customer will be compensated at 60 cents per pound per item for lost or damaged goods, regardless of the actual value of the items.

6. Payment Methods & Collection

Payments can be made via e-transfer, credit card, or cash. Star Canada Movers reserves the right to collect payment for services rendered up to one hour before the move is completed. We reserve the right to take legal action to recover any outstanding debt. The customer is fully responsible for any parking tickets issued during loading or unloading when lawful parking is unavailable or impractical.
